The Tearsmith is the first ever Italian film to rank number one for worldwide viewings on Netflix.
Based on the best-selling novel by Erin Doom and directed by Alessandro Genovesi, the film is produced by Iginio Straffi and Alessandro Usai.
Filmed in Italy but set in the United States of America, the film tells the story of Nica, a 17-year-old girl living in an orphanage, and her complex relationship with Rigel, the teen with whom she is adopted by a family.
